Turkish Citizenship
The Turkish government grants Turkish citizenship for those whom considers to be of high value to the state, this includes:
- Athletes
- Artists and creators
- Investors
- Pioneers and Entrepreneurs
- For those who reside in Turkey legally and continuously for a period of no less than 5 years, with no judicial rulings on them. Turkish law does not specify the type of residency, but current legislation requires residency to be a work permit.
- For those who buy a real estate with a value of no less than 400 thousand US dollars, provided that it is not sold for at least 3 years.
Conditions for granting Turkish citizenship in exchange for buying a property:
- The price of the property should not be less than 400 thousand US dollars, and it is paid by transferring the amount from the buyer's account to the property owner's account through a Turkish bank.
- The buyer undertakes not to sell the property until three years after the date of his purchase, where he signs a pledge with the real estate registry that he will not transfer the ownership of the properties he bought to run for Turkish citizenship to any real estate persons during the mentioned period of 3 years.
Procedures for obtaining citizenship in exchange for buying a property:
- Undertaking in the real estate appraisal stage
- Extracting the Tapu from the real estate registry office
- Submitting an application for citizenship
- Other procedures to be followed up directly with the government
